How to create a Content Server document from an Archive Center StrID

Hello,

I have a lot of documents managed by an old legacy custom application that store the physicals files inside the Archive Server.

We need do dismiss this custom application and migrate the contents inside Content server.

My question is: exist and API (SOAP or REST) that creates an OTCS document that point to an existing OT Archive Center document, using the archive StrId?

NOTE - I already defined the storage provider for the specific archive inside OTCS.

You may want to actually use some soap services defined by the ELS stack which is the old RCS product . What I have in mind is ELS has high level routines that can talk to the AS part as well as the CS part . CS has a module called EASP which is responsible for communication with AS although under the covers it is actually talking Archive Link . However I do not know if it has a soap wrapper although I have seen an old java api .

In addition to @Appu Nair's thoughts, one must also make strides to extract the custom metadata portion of these documents, which I believe will only be available to you in the old leading, to-be discontinued, custom application.

Metadata, including detailed information of a document such as Creator/Owner, or custom details of a document are not stored in Archive Center as it is almost always up to the lead application to take care of that.
