Smart UI SDK Error Getting Ticket after upgrading from 20.2 to 20.4

Hi,

After upgrading from Content Server 20.2 to 20.4, our custom Smart UI widgets that were created using the Smart UI SDK and WebReports have the following error:

Ticket: Error getting ticket. Details: Different user detected. Please reload the page to login again.

This issue persists whether we use onReady3 or onReady2.

This error is causing our Smart UI pages to not load properly. Does anyone have an= insight on what may be causing the issue?

This is most likely due to changes with authentication in the SDK for that version. We updated our Table WebReport code in the documentation to reflect these changes.

Previously everywhere you called new PageContext() it automatically grabbed the existing session. Now you need to explicitly add the ticket for the current user to the context.

// Pre-authenticate the default connector session

connector.authenticator.updateAuthenticatedSession({

ticket: [LL_REPTAG_OTCSTICKET QUOTE /]

});

Hi All,

I am trying to customise UI to show a folder widget in a HTML page. However using authToken(otcsticket) i am getting "Different user detected" error. Using credentials this widget is loading properly but my requirement is to use authtoken(otcsticket) throughout the page.

How can i fix issue. Please advise.

Since you are already on WR territory you are authenticated so I think doing Ian's suggestions should work.CS has some changes to authentication so I would follow Ian's suggestions.

I have not used Ticket as the header in my code but here is how I pass that

Here's how I invoke REST API because my page is stand alone has no connection to a WR.

So if you are going to supply otcsticket that will be
authenticationHeaders:{ OTCSTicket: otcsToken }

also move your console logging into the onReady function to see if the function has the token
