RESTAPI: Determine attribute id from an attribute name, in order to add/update category

Hello,

I am using REST to add a category to a node, which works fine.

https://localhost/alpha/cs.exe/api/v2/nodes/{id}/categories

{"category_id":9830,"9830_2":"new value"}

I want to be able to find the attribute ID based on the attribute name of a category, in order to do the above call.

How can I retrieve the attributes of a category in the Categories Volume, or how do I query the attribute ID based on the attribute name ??

attributes.dump finds that information from CatRegionMap.One can create a simple WR wrapper in REST API for that as well :)

Hello,

I am aware of attributes.dump, but was looking for a REST-Call. Not sure how the REST-Wrapper would look like exactly, and I was hoping for a quick operation rather than loops over catRegionMap.

Anyway, I believe I might have found something. I will probably use the Rest Call for Forms

https://localhost/alpha/cs.exe/api/v1/forms/nodes/categories/create

Based on that response I can map Attribute Name to ID and go from there.
