I am attempting to put together a reference page for my fellow developers and other teams in my organization that contains a comprehensive list of characters that are accepted and/or supported by OpenText Exstream.
@choman , I moved your post to our Exstream area. It looks like the community has not added any commentary just yet, have you discovered the answer on your own or is this still open for discussion?
I searched the documentation, as I'm sure you have done as well :) but have not located the list that you are seeking.
Thanks for reaching out offline @choman
For our community members, please review the additional information provided:
We have somewhat determined what could be happening:
· Since we use ISO-8859-1 as the default character encoding for our documents, some unicode characters may not exist in this encoding such as "decimal 8217" - Right Single Quotation Mark, or "decimal 8239" - Narrow No-Break Space, or "decimal 65533" - Replacement Character, etc. Exstream typically reports these errors in terms of UTF-32 encoding.
Example of encoding being used in postrules xml: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?>
But if anyone has anything additional to add that would be helpful.
