Oscipt dbwizapi issue in Oclipse

HI Team ,

We are facing Oscript issue when we open opentext modules in Oclipse.

It is giving error "An object was not specified.At dbwizapi:DBWizApiSubSystem.ConfirmSchemaVersion line 84.

Any opentext patch is missing?Can anyone advise on this issue?

After it throws the error can you still login to the livelink server or are you dead in the water ?

After it throws error,I cant able to login into the livelink server.

I can able to login livelink server if i close eclipse and start livelink server through window services.

Ok in that case all I would try to do is maybe increase logging to debug and use connect logs then start it with services at this point look if the startup threw any trace logs. If you post them here it will at least give you clues to which module called dbwizapi for info and then you can scour the patch area for the affected modules I also see the last startup line points to easp which is the module for archive server sometimes I connect system center so it will download any of the important things I have missed installing. The error I cannot fully understand but if it is in the post patch action phase it loaded modules and somehow the module want to read something in the database so I suspect your hunch a patch or oracles are missing also what livelink version are we in ?

This might be a wild guess in your screencap you can see the two patches before pat2181713.txt has been successful that is why you are seeing two lines per patch. If this was my system and if OT was not helping me I would remove that patch manually look into its header to see which Objects they are patching. This would give me clues to what module it is needed for and go from there.

Again these are all my thoughts and not conclusive I certainly don't know why it works in services . Did you ask this question in the CSIDE forum https://forums.opentext.com/forums/developer/categories/cs-Content-Server-Builder linking to this discussion thread perhaps the gurus there can explain it ...

The screencaps indicate something like Brave needs something patched and it is hitting the EASP part ...

I'm guessing that if you run as a windows service you will see files getting created in OTHOME/logs/trace_logs/ - is that the case? If so: the error seen isn't CSIDE-dependent. The reason this hangs when you run via CSIDE / Eclipse is that the debugger broke execution (which is what happens when it sees a trace-able issue).

Not that this helps you out with the "object was not specified" root of your problem. I've no details on your system, but given that from the screen captures it looks like you were patching the Brava stuff at the time I think Appu is correct to suggest that patches are at the root of the problem.

Alternately: this section of code is used to check that the database & code versions align (to see if things like an upgrade is needed, or if the code is incompatible with the DB). Is it possible that you recently upgraded your system, possibly encountering an issue during upgrade? Upgrade failures can cause all sorts of mess. Just a thought :-)
