Changes in web.xml

Hello Experts,

We are implementing XECM for SAP solutions 20.4.There are 2 CS FE behind LB url.

For configuring Member Service and ECMLINK service URL we made changes to web.xml by giving load balancer server name but it is not working. Also tried with CS server name but does'nt seems to be working.

Is there any other changes which are needed.

MemberService is part of the Content Server stack you have to either deploy them in IIS or TC . OTs installer makes it seamless . It can easily be deployed manually because about 10 years back we would be doing simple manual steps . The wsdl files are in your CS install under webservices.

The ECMLink is different it is usually deployed to a TC and it comes from OT as a java deployment.I usually use the OTDS server and dump all of them together.

Regardless if you want you can put both of them in a TC if it makes it less confusing.

The web.xml usually has entries for the real server if you see localhost and 2099 what we all do is change that to the CS Server LB and the right port.

Individually to trouble shoot one uses a web browser to see if the wsdl is accessible.

WSDL access does not automatically mean SAP can create objects in CS it only means that the plumbing is there , the correct server and port is what makes the glue stick:)
