A question about Content Server automatic email handling

Hi,

I'm wondering if the Content Server has the ability to:

-receive an email (e.g. via POP3 or IMAP servers) with the attached file

-automatically save the attachment in the input subfolder of a folder created using the reference number from the email Subject line and notify the worker who will be processing the file using the email address in the Bcc line of the received email informing him/her that the input file is ready

-create the output subfolder (where the result file will be uploaded by the worker and create an interest on this output subfolder using the email address in the Cc line of the received email so that when the worker uploads the resulting file into the output subfolder, the system will notify the person who is interested in the resulting file that the file is

You have two competing products from OpenText .I will put them one by one depending on complexity.

ELINK -It comes in two types a simple Oscript module and a Server(POP/Virtual Hosting-Optional) very easy to setup what you can do some info here which I have published in a public forum https://www.tek-tips.com/faqs.cfm?fid=7885
Mail Solution from OT-This involves the above Content Server(Livelink) from OT but you have to do things on your mail server(I have only done this in Exchange).Essentially you create in Outlook a template full of Useful Folders called "Managed Folders". This is considerably more work to setup and get going but it is used in scenarios where there is "Mail Journaling". It has all bells and whistles for automatic classification etc.
OT buys companies left and right so there could possibly be more that offers these options ,but essentially if you look at Exchange then it will involve MAPI programming so anyone who is good with MAPI programming can create solutions. Also if one was on GMail or Lotus then whatever API's it provides.

I have done an identical solution to your requirement using elink.
