Can we add any wait() function/Sleep() in OTCS webreport?

Hi Experts,

Good Morning. I need one information regarding webreport. In java or any other programming languages, we have wait()/sleep() functinality, which wait/sleep for time which we have given. Is there anything in webreport where I can wait/sleep the execution for some seconds and continue it once the sleep will be over?

The requirement is to If I will execute my webreport, the some point in my webreport logic I want to pause/sleep or wait for 5 seconds in webreport execution. Once the wait is completed for 5 seconds again the rest of the logic should execute.

Basically I want to add few seconds of pause in between my webreport logic. I have nothing to do with Livereport execution.

its not really designed to have a PAUSE option, although you could (in no order of preference just a braindump) :

Create a custom Tag to do it.
Call a separate SubWR to return the current timestamp and compare for elapsed time.
Use [LL_REPTAG_DATETICK /] before and keep looping until the current value is the original value + 5 seconds in the main code or until the TIMESINCE tag returns the same.
If the code is run in a browser, you can use the SetInterval JavaScript command to wait and then call the next Report, or pass a param to the current report to say start here etc.

We have a sub-tag (that we don't normally include in our "Subtag Suite" - commercial offering) called RB_LOADTEST. It was designed for testing and is also capable of running a LiveReport in order to generate actual DB load, but it definitely does what you are asking. Would be willing to share this, or if you need any further advice on building your own, I can share our source if you like.
