Retain Creation Date when migrating Binders & Contract Files in to Business Workspaces

Hello All

We have few binders & contract files (SubType:31067) in Content Server and we want to migrate them into Business Workspaces. We don't see any issues with migrating them, however we want to ensure that when they get migrated into Business Workspaces we need the original creation date to be retained. Is this possible using SDK's.

If the objects are re-created so if FolderA in Binder with Dataid 12345 is copied as FolderA in BWS with Dataid 56789 then CS will register a new create date so try to move them if possible .

OT also included some system attributes to show original creation date etc. without needing an optional category I could also see them being used to represent originality to some extent.

I am not a fan of doing direct DB updates because if the system is used to represent some truth for regulatory purposes but certain tools will also help to maintain although I don't think they use public API's

We have decided to capture the original creation date in a custom attribute when migrating the binders into a business workspace. Also OpenText did not recommend manipulating the creation date due to auditing issues.
