How To Remove "links" From GET Request JSON Response?

Hi,

I want to get some info about a node. I use the get request with properties field and some properties. I want to filter to get only the "results" at JSON without the "links" section. How do I filter that? Tried several combinations using the REST API documentation but without any success.

I find that the response always includes what you asked it and that may be why links object comes back ,we all parse what we need from the output is that causing too much on the wire? I would think OT developers did that for a reason and they may be able to chime in. One possible thought I had is the SmartUI app of OT is the first UI that uses REST for its calls s may be they use it for browser redirection etc. not relying entirely on browser history as REST will need header info to do anything rather than cookies. This is just my bogus theory and hopefully somone will refute it.

The links information is provided as a part of the response as REST APIs in general should allow for filtering/pagination and supplying that information in something like a Links header isn't sufficient (as we tend to return additional pieces of information like total counts which are used by many of our solutions).

If there is a sound business case, we could create a feature request to make this information optional, and if approved, it could be implemented at a later date.
