Validation Client for SAP Solutions with no connections with SAP GUI 8.0

Dear all,

I would like to inquire if anyone here has any knowledge about the connections in Validation Client for SAP Solutions (for versions 22.2, 22.4, and 23.2) in conjunction with SAP GUI 8.0.

After upgrading SAP GUI to the latest version, the connections in Validation Client have simply disappeared.

Hi Sean,

As far as I know, OpenText has not provided a solution yet. However, I've found out that the issue occurs only with the SAP GUI 8.0 (x64) installation. It works well on the SAP GUI 8.0 (x86) version.

We to are looking to deploy SAP GUI 64bit 8.0. But we are also running Validation Client For SAP Solutions CE 22.4. Does any one know has there been any movement on from OpenText on a solution for this yet? Or is the current work around still to deploy SAP GUI 8.0 (x86).

We saw this same issue with a few of our systems running SAP Business Client and GUI 8.0 64bit with Open Text Validation Client 24.4. The solution we found was to delete the following registry key:
Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SAP\SAPLogon

We then started SAP Business Client to repopulate the key. After this, Validation Client would see all systems currectly.
