OCP OT2 trial account
Hi all,
By signing up to trial account I’ve received an access to admin console in na-1-dev with Capture subscription. But in Core Sign documentation mentioned another resource https://admincenter.preprod.ot2.opentext.com and I don’t have access there.
Could you clarify please - how can I obtain the Core Sign subscription in na-1-dev domain or an access to preprod.ot2.opentext.com?

Hi @kanishchev, actually I am also new to OpenText and yesterday I got my Capture Service subscription. By the way, the URL through which one can access the Capture Service dashboard is: , not the one that you have mentioned above.
In that login form, you have to provide a tenant ID/name along with the login credentials. So, firstly you have to get the Capture Service subscription.
To get that, I used this documentation page:
and filled in the Subscription form. Once I did that, I got the confirmational email in which the new Tenant ID was shared and thus I was able to log into the account and use the service. This is what the TRIAL PLAN looks like. I hope that helps you somehow 😄
By the way, @Chris_Wynder I have the following queries regarding my Capture Service account. The plan name is having the word TRAIL and thus verifies that I am using a trial version as of now, but what does Exceeded Usage Status mean? I have barely used any API endpoint for the service as of now, so how can I exceed the usage?
The link through which I got my subscription is this:
and you can see that this link is having the UK. What I can understand as of now is that OpenText provides a domain name of na-1-dev for building and development purposes. Also, when I am using the Core Capture Designer on my laptop, then it authenticates me via the US data center URL and it throws an error when I am using the OTHER option in the data center input field. So, for registration I got a domain of the North-America region, to register for the Capture Service UK region URL was used and for authenticating in the desktop application a US region data center (domain) is being used. Why is that?
Please get my couple of queries resolved :)

As far as I see it - If we gonna go along tutorials provided by OpenText, we should stay in
na-1-dev
domain. And I assume that in dev environment all services should be available otherwise what is the purpose for dev environment?0 -
Hi @kanishchev , have you received my comment on your initial post? I submitted a response twice and it got deleted automatically. Have you received any mail regarding my response?

Hi
Yes when you sign-up for the IM services free trial you will have access to multiple services. The only one that is not part of that trial is the signature service. At this time it is not healthcare ready and was not included.
There are additional videos that walk you though the Admin center: Here is a list of them
This short video Claire Denton takes you through an overview of Admin center

Thanks @"Karen Weir" for the help. Can you please delete one of my earlier posts because both of them are literally similar? I posted consecutive ones because I thought the prior one was deleted1

@Chris_Wynder, looking for your reply.
By the way, just want to tell you that my OpenText Admin Console is having the domain of admin.na-1-dev.opentext.com whereas the Core Capture subscription admin console has the domain of admin.na-1.opentext.com
Is everything correct (capture service subscription should not have dev in its domain)? When I have to use the Capture API endpoints, then I have to get the ACCESS TOKEN only via the capture.ot2.opentext.com (OAuth2, clientCredentials) domain and no other endpoint works.

dear colleagues, what is the forum's purpose if comments just disappear? Is OT2 so bad made/documented that you need to moderate every comment?

@kanishchev did my post helped you?0

@Vishal Vats no unfortunately.
I made a working POC with capture service but the signing limmitation made me to cancel further investigations.
Regarding your question I texted (but the comment disappeared) that in my environment POST
/oauth2/token
and POST/cp-rest/v2/session/files
requests work only with application/json in the header and JSON in the body. Examples from the tutorial didn't work.0 -
And it works only in
na-1-dev
domain0 -
@Vishal Vats the domain na-1-dev is correct, but in my environment the tutorial steps didn't work. The auth and document upload request work only with
<header name="Content-Type">application/json</header>
and JSON in the body.
Why they published in the tutorial examples that use the outdated REST… no clue.
And also the DELETE request never works.

I verified your account so that this does not happen to you again. We are not moderating every post, it seems that our spam service is flagging posts with code - I am updating the service configuration.

IM Services trial includes access to the Capture Service (https://na-1-dev.api.opentext.com/capture/cp-swc/) so you don't need to create a separate account/trial with Core Capture. To log in to this capture service you will need your tenant id, and tenant username/password.

that's obviously what I wrote. but 10Q

To access Capture via a tenant you will need to subscribe that tenant at least one of your applications, this will trigger the auto-provisioning of a Capture subscription within the tenant that you can access via the API using your application credentials and the web UI url provided above.

Thats true, but in my initial question I was wondering how can I add and use Core Sign in trial subscription.
