Hi Shahid,

I'm a participant in the Hope Hackathon by OpenText. I've been following your workshops but am having trouble with APIs. I keep getting an error message, despite checking my credentials multiple times:

Hi @Chethan_AIOverflow, I have removed your credentials from the post as they are sensitive/secret (marked them as <redacted>). That being said, I have tested them using "client_credentials" grant type and they work.

Can you please test the following using Postman (or any other REST API testing software)?

Perform a POST request
1) with URL:
https://na-1-dev.api.opentext.com/tenants/{{tenant_id}}/oauth2/token
(replace {{tenand_id}} with your tenant id)
2) with body:
{
    "client_id": "{{client_id}}",
    "client_secret": "{{client_secret}}",
    "grant_type": "client_credentials"
}
(replace {{client_id}} with your confidential client id and {{client_secret}} with your confidential client secret)

I received the response from Postman, including attributes like refresh_token_expires_in and api_product_list_json. However, I'm still unsure about how to use the actual APIs. The YouTube video I followed was quite vague. Shahid demonstrated an existing application rather than explaining how to start from scratch.

when I am trying to hit the following API with this body, for grant_type - password, I am getting unauthorised.

You could try the Postman collection (with environment) available from this URL: https://github.com/opentext/demo-contract-approval-app/tree/master/docs

If you use that, you would basically combine a valid access token (through Get Access Token request) with API calls against e.g. the CMS API from the OpenText Developer Cloud.
