Physical object and record management

Not sure if i understand it correctly, a document object can become a record, can apply hold to it and can be disposed of using RSI.

If i select a physical object, and click update record metadata, it shows message not a managed object.

Question:

1. A physical object can't become a record. Is that correct?
2. If there is a requirement to provide policy enforcement, e.g. review every 3 months, dispose after 7 years to physical objects, apply hold, how can it be achieved with record mangament?

You need to add physical item types as managed objects. There are 4 types you can add:

Physical item
Physical item Box
Physical item Container
Physical item Copy
