Hi,

i did not get any result when i search for just created work space using search api

i have to wait around 1 minute to get it appear in the search result

any idea ?

because when you add a document, the registration of that document is added to a database table to say this document is in this container, which is immediately available. In the background the Indexing processes process the file.

one more thing, if i tried to see the newly created object through the GUI , i can see it immediately

so why it take time to find it through APIs and no time to find through UI ?

because the indexing process does various activities on content in the system and each job has a queue and may take time to run as well. A basic pass would include :

Extract the content from the storage
Process the content to get the keywords etc
Add the references in the correct places in the Index.

this means the GUI is not using the indexes for retrieving the information , and if this is true , which API can read from DB without relaying on indexes as well

the node REST API calls interact with the database and will return a newly added node as soon as its in the database. Search related calls rely on the node being indexed first.
