Using REST API to mark a document as final?

Hello everyone, I'm new to Content Server development and these forums. I've searched the Swagger and the forums but cannot find an answer.

I am using a C# service to move old document off of our network file share into Open Text Content Server using REST APIs. We are currently using version 22.4.

Is there an API or some attribute in the Node API I can use to mark a document as Final when I upload it?

Hello, and no. I'm still stuck on this. The closest i've been able to get to is using
https://<myserver>/csadmin/llisapi.dll/api/v1/rmclassifications/finalizerecords and passing file "ids" in the body as but i get this as a response:
{ "finalized": 0, "skipped": 1}
and the document does not get marked as Final.

Any suggestions? what am I missing? The folder has an RM classification.

One aspect we all do is(we meaning have considerable experience in the product) we will try to find if this functionality that one is trying to do in RESTAPI is available in smartui. While it is difficult to analyze chatter on JS I find it many times useful when I observe a CS Server smartui page running using Fiddler. So if you do find a command in the SmartGUI that says finalize I would click it and see what the payload looks like.

Again OT is compartmentalized too much so the question that you are trying to get answered is probably easier if you posted in the RM board ,I guess you are a paying OT user so https://support.opentext.com/community?id=community_forum&sys_id=607776761b4a05509b6987b7624bcb5b most likely you may find senior dev like @david caughell (name is david caughell) I can't tag him.

v1/rmclassifications that tells me that the RM Oscript code group wrote this…

Failing that I mention this in many of the posting

WR or Web Reports is a favorite tool for us developers .So most likely you will find a TAG that does this correctly.Or if it doesnt exist it is perhaps a few hours work in oscript .But the beauty of that is WR can masquerade itself as a REST API call :) so you or your manager is happy on the coding pattern.

you can use NODEACTION:UNRESERVE and RMACTION:FINALIZE that would be the WR tag code

[LL_REPTAG=DATAID NODEACTION:UNRESERVE:[LL_REPTAG_3 /] /] and the FINALIZE should be [LL_REPTAG=DATAID RMACTION:FINALIZE:[LL_REPTAG_3 /] /]

for quick test one can do

[LL_REPTAG_' 12345 ' NODEACTION:UNRESERVE:[LL_REPTAG_3 /] /] and the FINALIZE should be [LL_REPTAG_'12345' RMACTION:FINALIZE:[LL_REPTAG_3 /] /] where 12345 is the node's dataid that you are trying
