Control Center tenant connection to remote server error

Good afternoon,

I need some extra help in order to solve a communication problem of ExStream 16.6.7 Control Center installation.

I have installed Control Center & Communication Builder on my laptop, and I need to connect to my Central installation on a remote server to run these services on my laptop, but when doing so, I get the following error:

Connection or authentication problem when trying to communicate with Management Gateway

What I am trying to achieve, is it possible?

Regards,

    Hi,

Connection like this should work fine, at least we do it all the time at various customers.

    Two things to check:
    1. Does the server or network firewall allow remote access from your laptop on required ports?
    2. Have you installed the server certificate on your laptop (see this support article: https://support.opentext.com/csm?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0582339 )

The user that you enter of course needs to have access to the tenant on the MGW that you want to connect with.

    Good luck!

  • Ok,

I have seen that Users from one tenant cannot see or access another tenant’s applications or data.

So I suppose what I was trying to set up is impossible.

    Thanks
