Display document from ArhciveLink URL metadata

Dear Experts,

My scenario is:

1. I am posting/creating Business Workspaces with Category Attributes in xECM through xECM REST API. Attributes are:
   1. External DocID
   2. External ArchiveServer ArchiveLink (http link)
2. I would like somehow to display the document image (stored in the Category Attribute as URL), in a user friendly way. (Category Attributes stores only text in CS/xECM, no rich text is available so HREF is not working)

Could you help me please how to display doc image in an easy way from the ArchiveLink?

Because now the only way is to copy the URL from the Category Attribute into the browser, and display it.

The technology you have to use is called IFRAMES in HTML, so complete your research using a HREF URL like google and then move on to the Content server part.

Attempt this activity once you have understood HTML, Iframes, and other technology which is primarily web oriented and has nothing to do witth CS code or AL code.

The tools in CS that would help you is smartui widgets ,Business Intelligence/WR widgets.

There are many CS products like AnswerModules that allow you to use CS objects and server side groovy code . It is very easy to show what you need t do in that although under the covers they are using HTML5 and iframes.

One thing I couldnt understan is a Document Image ? what do you mean,if it is a word document you want a gif like word as OOB OT shows or are you going to show a thumbnail of the document.OT already has code to create thumbnails so that is an option.
