Hi,

I am using csui SDK to build a page to show the folderbrowser widget for a certain folder in Content Server. I have attached the code I am using. It is working fine and is loading the folderbrwoser widget but the problem is folder multilingual metadata is not working. In this case, I am trying to use Polish language. The out of the box elements get translated but the folder names having polish language metadata is showing in English. I need the folder names to be translated as well. I tried with Spanish language too and I see same issue. Any pointers here?

I think one or two things

The code you show is a widget implementation code similar to the one that is used for sap integration and so on.
If you dont have the multilingual module EMLC then OT OOB only gives you "capability".What I mean is if you put metadata additionally as polish or hindi as I picked something easier to understand, you create a folder called "lion", then you click the globe and put "sher" yourself so the hindi name happens.If you thought OT gives you a translating service to Hindi or Polish that I dont think happens automagically
Interfaces are translated based on the interface language a different mechanism
So create folders with names in English and additional Polish, and it may work for you.

Hi Appuq,

Appreciate your response on this. The folder I am testing has the multilingual metadata set by using the "globe" you mentioned. Please see the screenshot below. I am not expecting OT to automagically translate that for me. Its after this setting that the names are not appearing at the folder level.
Below is how the setup looks like but the folder name always says "English ( United States )" no matter what language I choose.

Another observation is that that the language translation work when I initialize the widget with csui.onReady2 event but not with csui.onReady3 event. I am going to reply to my original question with this finding sighting an example. OT recommends to use the onReady3 event so it would be best if it works with onReady3

It looks to me that this is some "bug" with csui.onReady3 event because this works with onReady2 event.

Elaborating further on this.

Below is what I see when I set the language to Polish with onReady2 and onReady3 respectively

Attached below is my code for both onReady2 and onReady3 implementations.

Unless I am missing something specific to onReady3 event, looks like this is a bug. If anyone has successfully implemented this with onReady3 event, please let me know.

there's some example code there and one thing that I observe is that this uses a different approach to setting the locale when you want to override the browser preference.
