SMTP email configuration

Question

In OpenText ECMS SMTP email configuration, emails sent with multiple To recipients are delivered only to the first address, while multiple CC recipients work as expected. This behavior occurs even when using valid separators (comma or semicolon). Assistance is needed to identify and resolve the root cause.

I'm about 90% sure this works, at least on versions over the last few years, but I haven't checked it on anything new, and I also can't set something up right now; however, looking at the code (following the User Group scenario, everything looks correct up to the point where the built-in (C++ compiled) SMTPSession code is being invoked. There are a few possibilities, one of which is that there is some issue with the addresses being omitted, or there are duplicates.  Beyond that, this maybe some issue with the SMTP server (as you've suggested).

Yes, I’m referring to the notification logic where the WebReport output is used as the email destination, and we’re using SMTP.

What I’m seeing is:

* When a Content Server group is selected, only the first user receives the email.
* When multiple email addresses are entered in the To field (comma-separated), Outlook shows all addresses, but via SMTP the email is delivered only to the first recipient.
* Multiple CC recipients work fine, which suggests the issue is specific to how the primary (To) recipient is handled by the SMTP logic.

Are you talking about where you put the Notifications by any chance? I am wondering what is the real need of this code fix is. Can you not create a group made of the CC's and put that in the To field? If you need OT to fix this code, I would raise a support ticket, although I am not sure where in their backlog this would land. I would also test other interfaces like the WR Email step; all of these are just forms that become parameters to the Oscript Email SMTP client.
