LSCS-LSDS - Stopping/Starting Tomcat instance

Does anyone know how to stop and start the 'included' Tomcat instance of LSCS/LSDS? I assumed that when I installed it as a service that I could do it there, but apparently that isn't the case.

I've got a deployment error, using the PLC workflow:

When I run a netstat -a on my target, I don't see it listening on 8080, nor can I get my debug console to come up either.

8080? LSCS Authoring is usually running on 8080 -- same application server instance as TS. Typically to stop / start LSCS Authoring, just stop / start JBoss (assuming TS 7.2 or later).

To stop / start LSCS Runtime, restart your application server -- whether it is Tomcat or WebSphere or something else.

Clarification: LSCS and LSDS are different services.

The service name for LSDS is Interwoven LiveSite Runtime -- this runs the Tomcat servlet container bundled with the LSDS install.

The service name for the LSCS IDOL engine is Interwoven Content Services Index. This only runs the IDOL engine and not the app itself (which runs on 8080).

Depending on how you installed the servlet container for LSCS, you may be looking for "Apache Tomcat Servlet Container" or similar for the service that runs the LSCS servlet on port 8080. If for whatever reason this service is not there at all, you can follow instructions on the Apache Tomcat website to install your instance as a service -- it's no different than any other Tomcat install.
