I knewexactly where this was at one time and I have been trying to recall exactlywhich font this is but I’m at a loss. This is not an issue with Builder but anissue with the installed fonts on windows. As I recall, I installed a number ofnew fonts on my machine and Builder went into 8pt. Instead of removing thefonts one-at-a-time I just ripped them all out and that corrected the issue. I’msorry I can’t be of more help but start with any new fonts you’ve recentlyinstalled.

Builder font size

Can somebody tell me how to change the font size for the Lilvelink builder editor (9.2.0) ? Is there any possibilites(config file, ini file, XDB ?) to change it? I have the font size about 8 pt, is it normal?
This iscorrect. You cannot change the font specification in Builder. What you need todo is determine which font has been hard-coded into the Builder and thenreplace that font in Windows with something more suitable. I truly wish I couldremember which font it was, but it was a few years ago. I’m training all thisweek but I’ll try to make a bit of time to look at it again.

Dear Howard, Thanks for your reply, but...... My problem is, that I have this font size (8 pt) since I installed livelink builder. I think this is Sans Serif 8 pt . I have many, many fonts installed, default this was installed with WinXP default install, so I can not remove them! So any other idea could be very useful for me Thanks, Tibor If i look in the BUILDER ospace, than it takes the Sans Serif font , but there is no possiblities to change it.
I foundit!
I’m usingWindows 2000 and so I’m sure they probably changed some of this for xp but hereis where it is on 2000.
Ifyou goto the control panel and select ‘fonts’ you might see the font called ‘Courier10,12,15’ with the file name ‘courf__0.fon’
IfI uninstallthis font then the debug window, debugger window and the script window all become8 pt.
When I reinstallthe font then everything looks okay again. I don’t know much about fonts but I’mattaching the font to this email so you can see if it works with xp. If not,you can try to get the font from some other source.
I hope thisworks.
Tibor,
I’m verysorry but I know absolutely nothing about XP (and I’d be very happy to keep itthat way). The only suggestion I can offer (and I know it isn’t a great one) isto systematically remove each font one-at-a-time and restart Builder.
I hopesomeone out there has a better solution as I wouldn’t wish this on anyone.

HI, Just back to this builder font problem. I just discovered ,that it can be a win2000 , Xp problem. I tested it on many pc's , with 2000 it works fine, but with xp?!?! Under winxp it is not so good. I mean it is no difference if i install your coure.fon, or i leave the original coure.fon. I always see this horrible little fonts in the builder. I tried to delete fast each fonts from my xp, or add many new fonts, but ther is NO DIFFERENCE. Just try to open(with windows font viewer) your coure.fon file under xp, and under win2000 it is not the same.....i also wonder why, but they are not the same.... Can it be that LL Builed is not 100% compatible with winXP, is there any possibilty to make the font bigger under XP. Thanks, Tibor

So you do not have to know anything about XP...but somebody should tell me any solution how to work with LL Builder under XP. I did not find anywhere that LL Builder is not compatible with XP, or XP is not supported os.Can you please do me a FAVOUR and have a Look on a Builder on a PC where XP is the OS. You must somewhere have a PC with XP. I tried to install it on many xp pc's but there was always the same problem: too small fonts.I think it is not a very good idea to remove some, or each fonts from any OS beacuse it can make many malfunction to the system and other programs. Thanks,Tibor
