Error getting Public Access data - GetNodeRights

Hi,

sometimes when calling the GetNodeRights(ref token, nodeId) in the DocMan service,
I get this exception:
System.ServiceModel.FaultException: Error getting Public Access data for 'Test topic' from the database.

Does anyone know why and how it can circumvented?

and when you get this if you know the dataid can you use the GUI and see if PA is set on it or removed?

The webservices session user needs "Edit Permissions" on the ACL to actually get the permissions (ACL)
so if you are violating that business rule this could happen.If you are sure no livelink business rule is being atken out of context you should ask OT to investigate it

The webservice call will do this in oscript
// Check permissions and other criteria

if ( ok )

result = ._CheckEnabled( node, requiredPerms )

which means that if you have builder you can put a break in that script and see what the real error is
