Unable to connect Enterprise Library Services

Hi,

I have installed Archive Sever 10.5.0, OTDS 10.5.0 and ELS 10.5.0 in one server and Content Server 10.5.0 installed in another server. I am able to connect AS, OTDS, CS but I am unable to connect ELS it is displaying web service issue. I tried to start el services in Tomcat as it is throwing error.

Please find the below attached error details of Tomcat and ELS

Please provide me necessary information ASAP

Please have a look into the ot-elib.log file. The Tomcat log files might also tell whether or why the /ot-elib application fails.

This is not the medium to troubleshoot time constrained issues.

Thanks for your reply. Now ELS is running in Tomcat but I am not able to connect from Administration client. while installing we haven't mentioned any username and password for ELS. Is there any default credentials for ELS? If there are any credentials for it please let me know ASAP.

There are no special EL users.
Connect CS to OTDS.
Use otadmin@otds.admin for admin purposes in MMC.

If something goes wrong look into ot-elib.log file in Tomcat.

Hi,

Thanks for reply. we tried with otadmin@otds.admin but we are not able to connect.

In ot-elib logs it is showing,

170 ERROR [http-bio-8080-exec-9] com.opentext.livelink.service.core.jaxws.OTDSUtils -- Failed to establish OTDS integration state: Could not access server.

You will need to look into the OTDS.log, Directory-Access.log and the localhost.log files. The otds log will contain any trace or errors that OTDS may have had. The Directory-Access log will contain the error/success in the authentication and the localhost log should show the connection to the web service and the HTTP error code that you recieved.You should also check in %temp%\opentext. In there, you will find the Adminitration Client log file. it may show additional information on what URL was hit and any java dump that may have happened. I would take the URL in the Administration client and test it in a web browser to see if you can hit the e-lib web service. With this info, you can determine where the issue is.

Did you connect Content Server to OTDS?
That is synchronized resource in OTDS created and OTDS rsource ID put into CS admin.index page Directory Services integration.

This simply means ELS/CWS can't connect to Content Server. Did you configure the Content Server URL and port in ELS correctly?

CS connection was configured during ELS setup (http URL and 2099 port).

Check whether CS is up and runnning.

To check and repair configuration without MMC find the elservice.json or so file in c:\programdata\opentext\elib or so.
Be careful when doing so.

Then restart Tomcat.

Guys if your Content Server cluster is behind a Load Balancer then make sure port 2099 is not blocked there.
