Extended ECM, session timeout for classic view vs smart view

Extended ECM, session timeout for classic view shows the pop up window that session has expired and please sign in again. But smart view does not show this pop up window and goes back to login screen. Is there a way to have Smart view session window to have the session experience like classic view?

You can create a page explaining that the user session has expired. It should be configurable in OTDS.

Once the user session expires, Smart UI redirects the window contents to a "neutral page". The requirement is not to disclose anything what the previous user saw on the screen, as soon as the session has expired. A warning dialogue is displayed three minutes before the session expires, so that the user can extends the session duration.

Unless configured otherwise, the neutral page is the login page.
