Going from Template Workspaces to Business Workspaces - need help finding documentation.

Hi there -

We are in the process of upgrading our OpenText ecosystem. All has been going well so far, but we noticed that in the future, Template Workspaces will no longer be supported. Business workspaces seem to be pretty similar from what I'm reading but we have an extensive library of different binders + templates we use to organize documents throughout our company, and those are all tied to differing permissions.

I was wondering if anyone has had experience moving from Template Workspaces to Business Workspaces? Is there any documentation for this? Does the Content Server upgrade itself handle the changes? How does this affect any reports we may have? How does deprecation of the 'Template workspaces' work?

I've been searching the knowledge base for a bit and cannot seem to find anything other than the release notes that don't say much other than Template Workspaces are no longer supported after 22.3.

Any tips or pointers would be appreciated,

Hi Emil,

There is a migration tool to migrate binders/case types to business workspaces.

This is available from the Admin page. Search for Migration Administration in the documentation. Or use the on-line one: https://webapp.opentext.com/piroot/llescws/v220400/llescws-agd/en/html/migrate-binders.htm (don't look at the name).
