Business Workspace sync across Env's

Hello,

We are looking for Business Workspace sync across xECM. Suppose, if a Business Workspace is created in PROD, same should be replicated in lower Env's.

Note: Only BW to be created, data/files are not required.

Can anyone suggest approach, thanks !!!

automated (read expensive) may be available however, an extended ECM workspace can be created by simple methods. See my example

select * from DTREE where subtype=848 (here you introduce other filtering constraints like if you want all the Purchase order workspaces that got created for a day and so on, all of this can easily be found out if you know the configuration behind it) save this to a file or database that the target system has.
On your target system, run the create command(on the basis of ease SOAP maybe the easiset ,REST is really convoluted,WR or even a create workspace workflow object)
I have been told Object Importer and Exporter now supports workspaces I haven't tested i,t so what you OE from your source becomes the OI for your target
Otherwise, go to Transports and see if you can transport just workspaces minus the data. I haven't personally checked it.

OT also has something called Replication(Syndication), although personally I do not understand how it works. Theoretically, what it means is you designate one Content Server and its database as Master, and then you have another CS+DB and ll that jazz as a slave.

@appuq - replication is the replacement for remote cache, so still would pertain to the same system. Read - not intended to replicate data from a primary to a test system.

@Shanthan - why do you need to replicate the BWS's from PROD to a lower-level environment? Are the Business Workspaces "connected" to a line-of-business system (e.g. SAP)? i.e. any techniques to "clone" the workspace from PROD to a lower-level will result in the workspace in the lower-level environment having a completely different DataID (unique identifier) and you'd also need to be sure that any categories, users, groups, roles etc are also present there (i.e. you'd need to ensure pre-requisites are met). And if you're workspaces are connected to SAP, there may be other considerations too.

Hence I think you'll get a more rounded response here if the group understands "why" you're wanting to do this and what you need to achieve.
