Cloning or Copying a User in OTDS/Content Server with All Assigned Details and Groups

Dears,

I would like to check if there is a way in OpenText Directory Services (OTDS) or Content Server (CS) to clone or copy an existing user so that the new user inherits all associated details, including group memberships, roles, and permissions.

Easiest would be to buy some tools so you can replicate the Community like FASTMAN products.

If you dont have money, then if you cloned the database both on OTDS and OTCS, that would do it.

You can script this with available tools like OT SOAP, REST or WR, but that would require you to write code and some good understanding on how to do that.

If you create users and Groups using OTDS and if the same queries are run in your Source and target OTCS's then at least you have probably 90% of the stuff. At that point organizations would open their "Community & Security Modelling" excel workbook and put or create Taxonomies so the same permissions happen in source and targets. Is that where you are struggling?

Research IMEMBERSHIP and DMEMBERSHIP tags in WR, which is how I would have created a solution.
