Using Centrify with TeamSite to authenticate AD.

Options

We have TS 7.2.1 on Linux. Currently we are using local unix account for authencation.
Our security team is started implementing Centrify to authenticate AD. (instead of local unix accounts)

Goal is to have users authenticated via Centrify to Active Directory.

Our security team installed/configured Centrify on the TS DEV server.

I am able to login into TS DEV server using putty terminal and AD account.

I have added AD account in the TeamSite. It shows as OS account in the TS Admin UI (User management tab).
When i try to login using TS UI, I am getting "Wrong username/password" error.

I see an error message in the iwtrace.log
[Thu Apr 30 10:34:53 2015] Login failed for user: XXXXXXXX (error=2419). Either Login Daemon is down OR Invalid password.

Anyone using Centrify with TeamSite?

Thanks

Srini

  • Make sure that your old local accounts have been removed/renamed to avoid conflicts.

  • We have different usernames as We have 8 char length limit for the local unix accounts and no length limit for AD accounts.

    Thanks

  • Well then I suggest you try it with I user where the AD/Linux usernames are the same.

  • Srini,

We you able to get Centrify work with TeamSite. We are in the process of evaluating Centrify and want to make sure if there are issues with integration.
