BIRT & Hibernate

We need to connet BIRT with Hibernate for the data source. I've done some searching and found a few older posts from 2006 - and a couple from Jason last October referencing an ODA Hibernate data source is about to be released - it was waiting on 2.0.<br />
<br />
Now that BIRT is at 2.2 I was curious if anyone has any update or recent information on using BIRT with Hibernate.<br />
<br />
If anyone is aware of any 3rd party plug-ins that would be great info as well. We switched from Jasper Hibernate connectivity worked "out of the box", so we're hoping BIRT gets there sooner than later. I see many posts related to this - but no overall guide or summary. Any help is appeciated.<br />

It was written for BIRT 2.1.1 originally, but the source is there and will give you a great starting place.
