BIRT - Drop Details Row using Group in Table

[How I Need it]</p> <p>A B C ...</p> <p>Set xyz abc .....</p> <p>--- xyz1 abc1 ....</p> <p>set2 xyz2 abc2 ....</p> <p>However I am getting an extra row when i used drop feature of BIRT. Find</p> <p>A B C</p> <p>SET --- ----</p> <p>--- xyz abc</p> <p>---- xyz1 abc1</p> <p>Set2 -- --- --- xyz2 abc2</p> <p>I am using BIRT v2.5.1. I have tried inserting cascading table in detail row but by that performance of report is reduced drastically. Please suggest</p> </div> </div>

<p>HI Hans</p><p> </p><p>Thanks for the reply but the output in in excel only its just i copy pasted the output in a single word doc for easiness </p>

<p>Word and Excel output both don't handle the drop property very well.</p><p>It is in the very first paragraph of the blog post:</p><p> </p><p>[color=rgb(85,85,85);font-family:Georgia, 'Times New Roman', Times, serif;font-size:11.818181991577148px;]Now it turns out that the drop property does not work properly when the output type is DOC or XLS.[/color]</p><p> </p><p>The solution that is described will work for Excel output too.  It will work for whatever output type.</p>
