Hi,

We have iHub3.1 installed on Linux OS(2.6.32-573.7.1.el6.x86_64) and was running fine. There was a hardware change which was caused iHub3 to fail. We have got a new trail license installed. The server is restarted and when tried to add the node to the cluster from system console, I am getting the below error.

Any ideas as to what might be the cause of this issue and how it can be resolved?

60038 iHub is not running on (hostname).

Appreciate any help on this.

  •
Are iHub and System Console running on the same machine?

If they are on different machine, check firewall/network settings as the communication to iHub from System Console may be blocked.

Have you tried using the fully qualified domain name for the machine versus just its hostname?

Is everything working on the new iHub installation other than the System Console join issue?

Yes, iHub and System Console running on the same machine.

I have tried using botht the fully qualified domain name and the hostname and no luck.

I am attempting to stop iHub and getting the error "iHub process is not running". Please advise.

  •
Verify iHub is actually running on the machine using the ps command or something similar:

    ps -ef | grep ihub

Check for the core iHub processes: ihubd, ihub, ihubc, ihubservletcontainer

If the iHub is not in fact running, attempt to start the iHub and the check again for those primary iHub processes. If the iHub processes are running and you are receiving that error, the method you are using to stop the iHub is where to investigate next.
