We have runned into many issues trying to install 64bit.  I'm not saying that you shouldnt do it, but let me say that there are a lot dependencies in getting 64 bit to work and its NOT documented.  We ended switching back to 32bit, because we know it works relatively straightforward.

There is NO feedback loop on whether a document is indexed or not.  FAST indexes documents in asynchronous manner and it does NOT update the CS when document is indexed.

I have installed several 64-bit systems and it works pretty well from my experience. What kind of isues did you get exactly?

To get back to the original question, there is no dependency between the Content Server being 64-bit and Webtop. You can run Webtop in either 32 or 64 bit, it doesn't matter. You only need to be careful if you use custom shared libraries (i.e. DLL or Unix so). If you go 64-bit, make sure you can get a 64-bit build of your custom library.

    bacham2,

Was this Linux or Windows?  We ran into issues using 64 bit JRE.
