I am new to Composer and Documentum world

I dowloaded DCTM_Composer_R.6.6.0.049P0600 and unzipped the files on my machine and followed the instructions in the quick start quide. When I start Composer and create new project I do not see the option for Documentum Project. What am I missing? There are no spaces in Composer folder path.

These are the step I did

  • I unzipped the DCTM_Composer_R.6.6.0.049P0600.zip file
  • I set the Java Home
  • modified the dfc.properties in compose\plugins\com.emc.ide.external.dfc1.00\documentum.config directory
  • Lauched composer and in preference>>java>compiler node to change compliance level 5.0

    Select "File->New->Other"

    Select "Documentum Project" from the New "Select a Wizard" dialog

    Is your dfc.properties file configured against a working 6.x documentum repository?

    There are 4 folders missing in the zip file from PowerLink:

    darinstallerconfig

    darinstallerlogs

    darinstallerworkspaces

    documentum

    I'm pretty sure those four folders are autogenerated when composer connects to a repository/installs a dar file (darinstallerlogs and documentum for sure)

    OK, as I started this discussion. My fault, I did not mark it as Closed and did not post the resolution.

    The reason for this was I have both Java 64 Bit and Java 32 Bit on my Machine, so I was supposed to change the comsoser.ini / eclipse.ini to use 32 Bit.

    I have issue resolved and was taken care by the EMC support.

    If you further clarification feel free
