Hi,

I have D2 4.1 installed and am currently experience extremely slow uploading service. It takes about 2 mins to upload a 10 kb document. Every other actions in the system works pretty well except for the uploading.

I'm wondering if there is any particular configuration that I can set up to improve the performance? I looked through the D2 performance guideline but didn't find anything specific.

Thank you in advance,

Mylie

    Hello,

Do you have the issue only during upload or also during download ?

Do you have an ACS or BOCS server in your environment ?

    Pierre.

    Hey Pierre,

It only happens when I try to upload, downloading works just fine. We only have ACS installed on content server and was told the BOCS may not be necessary if we are no intent to import huge size of files. (We are importing files less than 20kb now)

    Thanks,

    Mylie

In the D2 webapp, in Web-Inf/classes, you have a D2FS.properties file.

There, could you uncomment and modify the line to

         D2-BOCS=false

And then restart your tomcat ?

Do you still have the issue ?

Which platform is your application server running on?

We had a similar issue with tomcat running on Linux, adding this parameter in java start up improved things a lot.

    -Djava.security.egd=file:///dev/./urandom

This issue is identifies in the d2 install guide under troubleshooting.

Di you try any of the recommendations from the D2 4.1 performance best practices white paper.

They do have some configurations specific for content transfer improvement.
