RTF Data in Grids in 9.1.1
After we upgraded to v9.1.1 I notice that RTF data that is displayed in a grid no longer displays as RTF data. It displayed as RTF data previously, not HTML tags.
Did I miss an "enhancement" with the upgrade? I'd either like the option (unless its there and I'm missing it) or restore the functionality in the grid, or at least to be able to select the the data in a BO without having the HTML tags included.

That would be a Really Bad Thing! I hope it gets fixed pronto....
Is that 9.1.0.1, however?

My Demo Grid Pics works OK in 9.1.0.2, so either it is fixed, or it still works?

I can only agree with Jerome. This flexibility is really necessary. The consequences would be bad hacks with css and javascript as we did from version 6 to 7 to make grids more powerful in questions of design and state visualisation. Long time ago ;-)...in version 5 it was also possible to create html output generated by SQL queries.

Can I just make a point here that one man's feature is another man's constraint. We have an application where some of the data in grid cells resembles XML fragments - the problem is that it gets evaluated as XML and does not give the desired display.
It would be nice to be able to specify whether you wish for cell contents to be 'evaluated' or displayed verbatim.

And does my example work for you? If it does, can we check the version, as this is not clear?

Thanks Jerome. I have tried your sample its working. But i what i need is like i need to highlight the each individual cell in different colours based up on the value in grid. Can you provide some more samples with the grid manipulation of this?
Cheers,
Sath

(Sorry for the delay in responding, I was at the user conference last week then off a few extra days.)
It is v9.1.1 (or 9.1 SR1) which was just released a couple weeks ago. When I mentioned it during a break-out session during the conference, it was indicated that it wasn't supposed to have changed.
Now that I'm back in the office, I will pursue it more formally.

I have not tried this in 9.1.1 as we do not have any client installations of this version yet. We have one planned, so I will try when that is tested.

I logged this with the Helpdesk, they have been able to reproduce, and it has been given defect number DEF19072.

Just heard back from the Helpdesk with an update "from Development. It looks like they're targeting it for 9.1.2. Unfortunately I don't have a date for that."
