defaults + governance
Hey Folks and I'm following the workflow models included in the BETA. On the workflow model "Setup Governance Reviewers" I'm able to get the server to be added in BPM. I can also see other servers added in there as well. However, I do not have the ability select a notebook as the next step in the workflow indicates. That being said, I don't see the ability to set up the "Governance Approvers". Also, the steps to add the notebook and select "Goal" form the object list are not real clear. I could be missing something there but if you could ellaborate that would be good. I also was able to mark the model as default in the workflow models. However, I do not seem to have the ability to mark the notebook as default (it gives me the option to "Show Difference Report Only". Finally, on the workflow, "Mark Object as Default" it seems to be the same as "Mark Model as Default". Let me know your thoughts.
Thanks
FWR

I have the same confusion with the steps in the WF model.

Thanks for the feedback. The V9 server is already defined so you do not have to add another one. Doing so will replace the existing definition as online one server definition can exist for a given url. Also there is one quirk with this beta machine. It does not recognize the mke.emotion.com URL so localhost needs to be used. When I redefined the server URL the notebooks now show.
I added an artifact image to the activity in the V9 Beta Notebook that will hopefully clear up how to add a reviewer. Please let me no if this clears things up.
I also added an artifact for setting the notebook as a default. The selection of making a notebook default is done on the notebook selection form. Selecting the notebook and right clicking on the title will bring up the context menu.
Setting the Object Type is a different workflow than setting the model as a default. The object type Workflow Modeler can be set default by right clicking on the Workflow Modeler text and selecting the context menu option.
Please continue to provide feedback as to how the workflow can be improved to make it clearer.

Thanks Gerard, however, I do not see anything different than yesterday. Let me know if there is someting else for me to look at. In KE when right clicking on the notebook, there is no option for setting as default. Also, in BPM everything looks the same as when I tried yesterday. Let me know if there is something else for me to look at.
Thanks

Default Notebook is a feature of KE Widgets.

Thanks Gerard. I figured out how to set the default notebook. One thing I would suggest is having the abilty to set the default a little more apparent in the widget. I changed it by going to Object Discovery and then clicking on what looks like a notebook icon and then setting the default. Perhaps there is another way to do this but that's what I found. I still cant get to any of the governance material. Let me know your thoughts on that.
Thanks

I also have no idea what to do here. When I get into BPM there's nothing I can do.

Hey Gerard and when I go into BPM there is now no form to choose. Also, when testing the ODATA feature, I need to supply a notebook identifier. I'm not sure how to get that.
Thanks

What userid are you using to login? The forms shown will depend on if the user is in the Governance Administration group or not. All the -removed- ids are defined as admins. The other accounts are defined in BPM but would only be reviewers.
As for the notebook identifier, use the following link to provide a listing of all the notebooks and thier associated identifiers:
http://mke.emotion.com:8080/KEServer/odata.svc/services
You will be prompted for a user id and password. The resulting list will be based upon that id's access.

Hi Gerard and I'm using -removed- as the user id.
