Hi All,

By now I hope that you have had a chance to go through some of the scripted scenarios, along with your own use cases.  I would like to see feedback, both positive and negative regarding your experience so far.

 

You can talk about the new features...

 

You can talk about any bugs...

 

You can talk about what we could do to make the release easier.

 

Let's stay focused on the features that the new release has introduced.

    I have completed my testing and have the following feedback:

     

    Initiate Governace Process:  Even though I was signed on as the admin with the NM user, I did not see any forms that would allow me to intiate the governance process.  I could not complete this test.

     

    Test Default Settings:  Only the Mark Model as Default worked properly.  When I right-clicked on the Notebook name as instructed, the only item to appear was Show Difference Report.  I found I could set the notebook as default when I first entered the Model Explorer Widget and was prompted to choose a Notebook.  Nowhere in the Model Explorer Widget could I see a list of Object Types to make default.  I'm not sure why I would want to do that here anyway.  Can I even see Objects in this widget?

     

    I was also under the (probably mistaken) impression that KE and SBW would be combined with this release but that seems to be not the case.  Will they still be separate installations?  I was also under the impression that the Altosoft piece would be combined into SBW with this release.  Do we still need a separate installation of Altosoft in order to run those widgets?

    Hey Bob,

    Regarding your last question, you do need to have Altosoft installed and setup on a server, as well as an Altosoft Licen Server setup. The Altosoft Widget is in essence a report viewer (akin to the Report Viewer in ProVision). As I understand it, the report you create creates a webservice that the widget then imports and displays.

    The latest version of SBW has already been released, and the newest KE Widget (that you would use with the latest version of SBW) should be released when we release v9.
