Announcing OpenText MBPM Version 9.2
We are pleased to announce the availability of OpenText MBPM Version 9.2. This is a minor point release and may be applied to any previous 9.1.x release as well as being installed in its own right.
This is now available to Partners and Customers with active maintenance agreements for Metastorm BPM from the Downloads area of the Knowledge Center - click here to view directory.
Complementing This Release
This release is complimented by the release of OpenText Mobile BPM Version 2.0. The release of OpenText Smart Business Workspace (SBW) Version 9.1.1 and the third release of the OpenText MBPM Widgets for SBW that requires SBW 9.1.1.
New features
This release has a number of new features including the follow:
Content Server Integration - OpenText Content Server Integration allows documents stored in Content Server to be assigned to single and multi-clip fields on BPM forms. It binds document metadata to form fields, and also provides a library of functions that allows the MBPM Engine to perform document operations, such as, check-in/check-out and set document properties. For more information, refer to Installation Guide > Installation > Installing BPM > Content Server MBPM Integration and the Designer User Guide > DMS.
New Web Client UI - This release of MBPM provides a restyled user interface for lists, folders and forms to improve usability - please see the screen shots above.
Deployment - A new force library match parameter has been added to deploy.exe which provides users with the ability to force library dependency matches when the exact required library version does not exist. The method of configuring the deployment service has been improved for deploy.exe. This improvement also fixes a problem with deploy.exe using the Designer's current deployment service rather than its own when resolving library references. All existing users will have to make a minor edit to change their deployment service definitions to adhere to the new approach. The help window associated with the deploy.exe is also displayed faster. For more information, refer to Administration Guide > MBPM Deployment > Deployment Service > Deployment Client.
getField Function Enhancement - The getField Client Script function has been enhanced to retrieve the name, value, and ID of a namevalue pair. Existing processes using this function should be updated to accommodate this change. For more information, refer to Designer User Guide > Introduction to Scripting > Client-Side Scripting > GetField Syntax.
New Supported Environments
The supported environment for OpenText MBPM Version 9.2 are the same as version 9.1.3 with the addition of the following:
- SQL Server 2012
- Firefox 12
- Transparent Data Encryption for SQL Server databases
- Support for the Firefox browser has been extended to include the Person Control on BPM forms. This control is now compatible with Firefox browser.
Note: Support for Microsoft Windows Server 2003 has been retired. For more information, refer to the MBPM Supported Environments.
