Open In Edit Mode
I presume/believe this is still the case in V9, but thought I'd ask anyway ... just in case.
Is it possible to open an existing folder (not a blank form / new folder) in edit mode directly from a URL? I don't mean from the To Do list, but from a link in an email message for instance? Also, for the moment, not using a 3rd party UI. Ideally via a supported approach, but a perhaps an unsupported approach -- knowing how it may break with any upgrade.
I don't believe so, but that fact is raising its ugly head again :robotfrustrated: so I thought I'd make sure. In the case I'm currently thinking of, there is only one action for the user to take.

You should be able to start any folder in an available action by adding the optional Action="{ActionName}" to the URL as an extra query string parameter. You just have to build the proper URL and it should open in the Action ready for editing. See the Web Client Configuration Guide's BPM URL section for more details.

I checked tugged that hat appears to be supported for only admin and blank forms. Opening an existing client folder uses efolder.aspx (I believe, typing from memory) which does not support that parameter. I also tried that parameter anyway to see if maybe it wasn't documented. It appears to have been ignored. Eform.aspx doesn't take folderid parameter as I recall either?

Copy the URL from an action button and modify/build for the correct circumstances.
