Push Notification for AppWorks

Hi there,

I want to know if I can get the Push Notification for AppWorks App? I can now get the notifications in 'Activity' tab from top right side menu, but I have a requirement of getting this notification in Notification tray of device (Android or iOS) even if the AppWorks app is not running. Can anyone help me with this?

Hi Ethan,

First of all, In Menu, it shows GCM Configuration.

Secondly, I tried the 'Notification Test', its only giving notification inside the AppWorks's Activity tab.

GCM has been discontinued. Try upgrading to a newer version of AppWorks Gateway.

Hi there,

Can we use 'https://fcm.googleapis.com/fcm/send' fcm api with GCM token, GCM API Key, etc to get PUSH notification on mobile clients??

Probably not. GCM API Key has been discontinued. See https://developers.google.com/cloud-messaging/faq

Can we then add firebase config details in GCM Configuration (Bundle/Package ID, Project Name, Project Number, API Key) and then try to use fcm api of send?

You can certainly try, but it is using the old API and probably will not work.
